Oh. My. Word. I cannot say enough amazing things about these two and their stunnning engagement session! From the beginning, Megan had a clear vision of what she wanted. She shared her Pinterest board with me early on and it became such an amazing tool to create her dream photos!
Not only was their style on point, but Megan and Alex are basically models- just look how gorgeous they are! They are two of the nicest, most gracious people I have ever met and I was so excited to capture their love. Normally I don’t like to say things like that- they feel insincere to me, like I am saying a cookie-cutter phrase to fill the page. I think my ADHD makes me crave real, raw, truth from people, myself included. But I say it here because I really mean it with these two! They are humble and kind and so sweet to each other, and it truly made me fall in love with their love story.
I’m not usually one for the blurry photo trend, but I liked how the ones from their session felt. I purposely incorporated some blurry images to evoke the feeling of a memory- a little fuzzy around the edges but beautiful and real.
Megan’s Jeep was a feature of this session because 1) it’s freaking awesome and 2) the aesthetic it provided was *immaculate*.
Megan and Alex are HUGE MSU fans, so of course we had to make sure the Spartans were incorporated too!
UGH you guys- this is my FAVORITE part of their session! We did these sexy and sweet in-home shots and man- Alex and Megan NAILED them. They brought the heat and it just goes to show that you don’t need a huge production to get really amazing engagement photos. I firmly believe that your photos are a reflection of your life, and what better way to remember this sweet time in your relationship than with photos in your home?
I mean, COME ON! CUTE- HOT- REAL- they have it all and I am just blown away by their chemistry!
Also, no photo shoot is complete without the four-legged members of the family. These gorgeous pups joined Mom and Dad for some photos and we all had a great time!!
The reason so many photographers put engagement sessions in their wedding packages is because we like to use the engagement session as a way to get to know you a bit and learn about you as a couple! We do our best to be a fun, engaging presence on your wedding day, and that works so much better and easier if we have a chance to meet before the wedding day. This engagement session got us all familiar with each other and set us up for success on the wedding day, and when you are planning a once in a lifetime event, it’s so important details like that are accounted for! And y’all- just wait for their wedding photos!
